Meet The Team
Alex Daly: Principal Osteopath and Practice Owner
Alex completed her 4 year BSc (Hons) in Osteopathic Medicine in 2004, and has been in full time practice in Cork since. She holds a diploma in Naturopathy and is a member of the Osteopathic Council of Ireland.
After graduating most of her focus was on developing skills as a Cranial Osteopath, and she spent several years attending pediatric postgraduate courses in the UK and US. Between 2009 and 2015 she undertook extensive training in the field of specific nerve manipulation and treatment of the organs. This has contributed to her ability to diagnose and understand stubborn and complex pain syndromes that don’t respond well to other forms of manual therapy (See our blog for further explanation). Alex is a member of the British Medical Acupuncture society and uses Western needling techniques and electro-acupuncture as an adjunct to her Osteopathic treatments.
In July ’17 Alex was awarded a post graduate diploma in Women’s Health in Osteopathy. She is the only Osteopath in Ireland to hold this qualification. This is specialist training in the treatment of women during pregnancy and for any delivery related problems such as pelvic pain, pubic symphysis pain, pelvic floor and bladder dysfunction. Alex’s main areas of interest are chronic, complex musculo-skeletal problems, and treatment of women during pregnancy and after delivery. She is particularly interested in injury incurred during the birth process. Alex is a keen tennis player, pilates and yoga practitioner.
Jennifer Guerin: Associate Osteopath
Jennifer completed her 4 year full time degree in 2005 and received her BSc Ost Med from the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic medicine. She is a mum of 3 beautiful young girls. During her 13 years of clinical practice she has gained a wealth of experience treating a wide range of conditions; she is equally at home treating sportsmen and new born babies. Jennifer has been a clinical tutor in physical Therapy College since 2006. As an Osteopath she has continued to develop her own skills attending various courses surrounding the pelvis, and the effects of pregnancy and birth on both mother and baby. Since graduating Jennifer has also qualified in dry needling and has recently received certified training in the application of Cold Laser Therapy. She is a member of the Osteopathic Council of Ireland.
Magdalena Rozdzialik: Cold Laser Technician and Therapeutic Massage Therapist
Magdalena graduated with a Diploma in Remedial massage, Occupational Therapy and Sports Equipment in Chelm, Poland in 2006. She used her training in the rehabilitation of orthopaedic and neurological patients in a hospital setting. She also worked for a charity offering holistic treatments to the parents of autistic children. When she came to Ireland she further updated her skills and obtained a Diploma in Swedish Massage, Hot Stone, Reflexology and Indian Head Massage in 2015 (Cork College of Commerce). Finally she completed a third Diploma in Manual Lymphatic drainage, Sports massage, Aromatherapy and SPA treatments in 2016 (CCOC). With over a decade of manual therapy experience and in-depth anatomy and physiology knowledge, Magdalena has joined our team as both a laser technician and therapeutic massage therapist.
